Pictures from the Concrete ministry
We have been adding a concrete ministry in with our medical brigades recently. The churches that we work at choose a family that has a dirt floor and is in need of a concrete floor. It has been such a blessing. It really takes the team members deeper into the experience that God has for them when they come here. I had wrote about the experiences in an earlier post.
A recent family was doubly a blessing for us since the lady of the house was a widow of 5 years. Her name is Rubenia and she has three teen-agers: Ricardo, Fernando, & Seidy. Her husband, a carpenter by trade and the only bread winner, was hit by a motorcycle and died from a head injury after hitting the pavement. She struggles to keep her kids in school by preparing, cooking, and selling tortillas. Pastor Gary Olson and his team from Good Shepherd were able to lay floors for the living room, kitchen, and porch areas.

These two photos are of another family that are very poor. You can see their tiny one-room house. A family of five lives in it. We poured their floor this week with the Don/Jeff/Lois/Mike Green team. Leo is the husband, Norma the wife, Kids: Anderson (8), Junior Alexander (5), and Fernando (3).
