In North Carolina
Update time-- Alan and AJ had a nice trip out to Texas to drop off our stuff. They also had the opportunity to meet with Eric and his daughter Audrey Shultz who are going to work at the ranch and will be leaving for Honduras on May 17th. We have already been blessed to get to know this wonderful family through email and sharing our preparations for the move to Tegucigalpa.
We are now in NC. God has blessed us again! At the time a couple of weeks ago when we set a tentative timeframe of being in NC for the first 3 weeks of May and then to CA, and finally to Tegus we literally did not know where we would be staying in NC. Well God knew exactly where. We received a call from our good friends John and Shannon and they mentioned that the renters in their trailer on their property had just moved out and we were welcome to use it for as long as needed. Then they mentioned that they were planning a trip to visit some family so actually right now we are house (and dog) sitting for them out here near Pittsboro, NC on the "farm". It is a beautiful place that is close enough to Raleigh so that we can see family, friends and supporters, but it is also far enough away and secluded that it almost feels like a retreat. Dana and I are grateful that we can use some of the quiet and isolation to recharge our spirtual batteries before the move to Honduras. We had the opportunity also to speak at Emmasus Baptist church (Shannons dad's church) last Wednesday. We will also be speaking at Sandy Creek Baptist church on the 21st, so please keep us in mind that day. We are also pleased to say that many of our supporters and friends have agreed to invite us to dinner at their houses this past week and also next week. What a special time of good food and great fellowship.
We are still planning, God willing, to go to CA around the third week of May and be in Honduras either the last couple of days of May or the first week of June. It's been amazing to see God's work in touching people's hearts to partner with us in His work at WGO.
